October, 2008 • Jirani co-founder, Dr. Beth Blue Swadener traveled to Kenya to visit the Jirani children, Project Coordinator and co-founder, Mark Okello, the Jirani advisory board, and to meet with colleagues (among many others).
March 24, 2009 • Second annual fundraiser benefiting the work of The Jirani Project. Held at Ticoz Resto Bar, and hosted by AZ State Rep., Kyrsten Sinema, the event was informative, fun and a great success!
June 27–July 18, 2007 • Jirani Project co-founder, Dr. Beth Blue Swadener traveled to Kenya with Dr. Anita Jackson (Jirani Project sponsor and Beth's longtime colleague and friend) to visit all sponsored children and Jirani Project Coordinator and co-founder, Mark Okello.
December, 2008 • First annual "camp" for our Kenyan Jiranis. Mark Okello and Kenyan volunteers facilitated a camp experience for all Jirani children. A great time was had by all!
July 4, 2009 • Mark Okello, recently added to his credentials with a diploma conferred by Premese Africa Development Institute.
